Originally from a small, rural community in Michigan, I have always been interested in finding ways to tell compelling stories. Through my life experiences and education, I strive to demystify what many see as difficult, and create clear, concise, and effective messaging.

President of Winter Carnival Planning Committee
As the President of Blue Key Honor Society at Michigan Tech, I led, planned, and facilitated one of the largest winter festivals in the United States. Through this experience, I functioned as the Executive Lead of Public Relations, as well as the Media Liaison and Lead Public Spokesperson for the university. I am pleased to say that we created an inclusive and ethical event; as I reimagined activities to follow CDC guidelines during the COVID-19 pandemic.

South Africa Humanitarian & Choir Tour
Michigan Tech afforded me the opportunity to travel with the University Concert Choir to South Africa. Our tour of the country included volunteering at local orphanages, performing with South African choirs, and an in-depth study of the country's history and culture. This experience helped to develop my strong interest in travel and humanitarian service.

SOCIAL MEDIA & DIGITAL MARKETING INTERN FOR CAREER SERVICES
September 2019 - May 2021
This position involved completely updating the online brand of Career Services at Michigan Technological University. During my employment, I successfully created an aesthetic that is clean, modern, and minimalist, while also being user-friendly and approachable to students and staff.
TECHNICAL COMMUNICATIONS INTERN FOR MICHIGAN SCIENTIFIC CORPORATION
May 2020 - August 2020
I am grateful to Michigan Scientific Corporation for hiring me as an intern during the summer of COVID-19. While employed, I was able to facilitate technical documentation and B2B marketing projects. I also implemented search engine optimization and performed digital marketing tasks (blog post, social media, etc.). I collaborated with lead engineers and created B2B marketing strategies for their use; as well as developed instructional materials for client utilization.
MULTILITERACY CENTER COACH
September 2018 - May 2020
This position afforded me the opportunity to work with both undergraduate students and graduate-level students for whom English is a second language. Being an in-demand coach, I frequently assisted students with their English language proficiency, research and thesis writing, and their acclimation to the American culture. This job was particularly rewarding as I was able to help students put their vision to paper.
COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR FOR ORIENTATION
November 2018 - September 2019
I was the main communication liaison between the university and the first-year students and their families. In addition, I created the vast majority of print and marketing material, which broadened my knowledge of corporate design techniques. With this, I gained invaluable management experience as I supervised 65 Orientation Team Leaders, who in turn, worked with 1,400 first-year students.
MARKETING COORDINATOR FOR AEROSPACE ENTERPRISE
May 2019 - May 2020
I was the Marketing Coordinator for Michigan Technological University's Aerospace Enterprise, which designed and built the Auris Microsatellite for the United States Air Force, and the Stratus Cubesat for NASA. My position entailed creating all forms of marketing material, as well as media creation and professional documentation.
